It’s Almost Here…

Soon, all the time you’ve spent planning and organizing your family’s Christmas day will soon pay off. The turkey is defrosting. The presents are under the tree.  The stockings are hanging on the mantle. The tree has been trimmed and decorated. Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to put your feet up with a cup of hot chocolate. Take a few moments to enjoy the fruits of your hard work.

If you’re looking for any small, extra stocking-stuffers, please visit Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s, in store or online, for fun and easy gift giving ideas. However, if you are finished and completely on schedule, the gang here at Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

Christmas Movies for Kids

There’s nothing like a Christmas movie to get you in the mood for the holiday season. Making a batch of popcorn and, perhaps, some hot chocolate, for an evening of festive films are a great way to do something as a family. Here are some fun holiday favourites for children and adults to enjoy:

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Although the version starring Jim Carey is fun and creative, the classic cartoon is just as festive!

2. A Christmas Story

This movie is on television every year, and I never tire of the Ralphie’s sense of imagination. Both children and adults can enjoy this movie!

3. Frosty the Snoman

For younger children, the classic tale of Frosty the Snowman is a fantastic choice.

4. Home Alone

Enjoy the holidays with Kevin McAllister and his forgetful family.

5. The Santa Clause

A pleasant holiday movie the whole family can enjoy.

Keeping It Simple This Christmas

Christmas can be a complicated season. Traffic, dangerous driving, snow up to our knees, and packed malls make shopping so much more difficult than it needs to be. Either way, Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s is here to help you out! We have five locations in Ottawa for you to visit, or you can check us out online.
